This is wonderful Debbie. A brilliant manifesto for how to find some magic in the ordinary moments. I love the idea of dancing while the kettle is boiling - I’m going to start doing that!
Oh, this is wonderful. What a beautiful piece of writing. And so very true. I really try to appreciate the small things every day and it honestly makes such a difference to the way I feel. Saving things for "best" though is still a work in progress for me - I'm trying to remember that I deserve nice things too but it takes work.
Hi Louise, thank you for reading and your kind words, I’m so pleased you enjoyed it 😍
It really does make a difference to your day doesn’t it. Not always easy, but just finding those little moments when you can.
Saving things for best is a tough one isn’t it. I generally wear my scruffy clothing around the house. I have some really nice pieces of clothing yet I rarely go “out” out. So last week I made the decision to wear some of my better clothes while at home. It somehow makes you feel better about yourself but I have to be careful though, around food I’m accident prone 🤣
Thank you, Debbie...I couldn't agree more. I feel so lucky because this has always seemed to come naturally to me (well, most of the time!). After a very busy day, I've just sat down to read your newsletter (my first one...hello!) in my favourite comfy chair, sun streaming through the window, birds singing away in the garden, cup of tea in hand...bliss! What better way to ease into the evening? And who just loves a Sunday evening when there's no school or work the next day? Me! Happy Easter. Helen x
Oh that sounds idyllic, I can picture the scene now. What better way to spend a Sunday evening than reading with a cup of tea and listening to birdsong.
Isn’t it a great feeling when there’s no work on a Monday.
Yes... Love this Debbie! 🥰 And the fresh sheets thing.. there is NOTHING like that smell.. it's the best! Definitely in my top five.. along with rain 💦😆
I loved this Debbie 🙏 ... And this is honestly at the heart of everything I do and how I want to live. I really want to pour my attention into these ordinary, beautiful, every day moments and appreciate the gift of the present. Thank you for writing and sharing this , as always you put it so beautifully 💕
I love finding joy in the ordinary moments. 🙏😊

Aww thanks Eva 😍
It really is the best feeling isn’t it!
Lovely post, as always. 🥰
It reminded me of a song on an album by Ruthie Henshall (Pilgrim) called Ordinary Miracles.
Happy Easter!
Thank you Sarah, you are so kind 🙏💖
I have just listened to Ordinary Miracles. It’s a beautiful song.
Happy Easter to you too. I hope you are finding some quiet time 😊

Thank you as always Emily for your very kind words. Life’s so much better when we focus on the positives, those little moments in the ordinary. 😍
You are so right that there is joy all around. We just need to stop & look. Thanks for the reminder!
You're so welcome Julia. It's absolutely true isn't it.
