Father Christmas

The North Pole

December 2024

Dear Deborah

Thank you for your delightful letter. I enjoyed reading it very much. I hope your sister is very well. I have no doubt I will be receiving letters from her very soon, as she will be learning how to write soon won’t she?

I’m sorry to say, this year I haven’t been able to send you a long letter as we are very busy at the North Pole. We are behind time and have so much to catch up on.

The reindeers have been very mischievous. They escaped the other day. Rudolph started it! You see, Rudolph’s bright red shiny nose lit up a gap in the fence and he thought it would be a clever idea to make the gap wider. Wide enough to fit a reindeer through.

Well he did it didn’t he, so he and his friends Dancer and Prancer, Donna and Cupid all followed him and made their getaway.

They played all their reindeer games of course and it took our entire family of elves lead by the chief elf, Noddie to round them up and bring them home.

Rudolph is grounded of course until Christmas Eve.

Now just at the beginning of December we had a big disaster. We’re all okay so don’t worry. A blast of rare warm air hit the North Pole and melted all the snow which caused a major flood in our stores where we kept all the electronic devices like phones and games. I’m sorry to say that I won’t be delivering that new phone you asked for as they’ve all been ruined.

Noddie came to the rescue (again) and found our archives filled with books and games. So this year you will receive some surprises that are not on your list. I think you will like the games I am sending you as you will be able to play with these with your sister and mummy and daddy. Now won’t that be nice.

Well I must go now as there is plenty still to do like wrapping all the presents. There seems to be more and more every year. And then we’ve got our party where I’m sure the reindeer will be drinking too much mulled wine as usual.
